The Two Minute Social Commerce Pitch

How to sell social commerce – to clients or internally?  Social learning – learning from others – can help, which is why we track the sales pitches of social commerce vendors.

Whilst we’ve not reviewed the new social commerce tool from Nurun, and so we can’t (and given our neutrality, wouldn’t) vouch for it, we do like how they are selling social commerce in this natty two minute video (with transcript below).

It’s a nice distillation of the social commerce value proposition for business, specifically, the problem it solves – in this case social media ROI – and how (by turning fans into customers).

If marketing is all about “solving people’s problems (at a profit)”; then social commerce needs to be crystal clear about the specific (priority) problem it solves (better than alternatives)

[blockquote]Transform[R] is a Facebook Commerce application that allows you to give your fans a fully integrated and personalized experience : An easy & convenient path for small and large businesses to transform fans into customers.

Facebook’s 650 Millions members worldwide are spending more and more time there, meaning their attention span available for e-business is shrinking.

By offering fans and consumers a new, easy and rewarding shopping experience embedded into their social media habits, you can turn social relationships into profitable business relationships that connect Likes to buying, getting the ROI you’re after out of Social Media!

Now Nurun has created Transform[R].

Transform[R] is a commerce application that will personalize the shopping experience according to every single parameter of a personal profile : gender, taste, friends’ tastes, and previous purchases (including which were presents and which were not) and will also target advertising to specific profiles.

Transform[R] allows you to develop a complete Social CRM back office. The application works with any back office (SAP, Oracle or any other ERP) and enables customers to pay as they like : with credit card, paypal or even Facebook credit.

Forrester predicts that Facebook commerce will increase 6-fold by 2015, meaning a marketplace worth $30 billion, revolutionizing the way people shop online. Transform[R] will turn fans into customers and offer a real [R]eturn On Investment.
